WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)

What is the WIC Farmers Market Program?

It is a program that provides vouchers, known as Farmers Market checks. With these vouchers, participants can buy fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and fresh cut herbs at approved farmers markets throughout Wisconsin.

The program has two goals:
 — To provide fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs to WIC families
 — To help Wisconsin farmers.

What do families receive through the FMNP?

Eligible WIC families receive one set of vouchers to be used toward the purchase of Wisconsin grown fresh produce. The vouchers can be used between
June 1 and October 31.

Using your FMNP drafts:

  •  Go to an authorized Wisconsin WIC farmers' market.
(FMNP vouchers cannot be used at the grocery stores.)

  •  At the market, find a participating farmer.
